This lure genre went from "gimmick" in my brain to PROVEN in the short time I've been fishing the biwaa_usa S-Trout in 2025. Both Largemouth and Smallmouth (up to 6lbs 10oz) have been crushing it on heavily pressured water. Upgrading the hooks to the bkkhooks_americas Feathered Spear - 21 Treble on the front and the Spear-EWG on the back helped to stick and land more fish. On top of that, experimenting with straight Fluorocarbon and a softer rod has also benefitted my efficiency with the hard bait in open water scenarios. I still like Braid to leader around vegetation.
