OK, I don't usually wax so poetic about special deliveries (of which I receive many) but these dates are truly incredible. This is not an ad! I was so excited to get this box of dates on Saturday from rancho_meladuco_date_farm and have been nibbling on them ever since. They are so fresh, soft and creamy (?), they satisfy my sweet cravings with just one. The mixed heirloom dates have a selection from the twelve different varieties they grow, but the jumbo medjools stole my heart. I even made their excellent scone recipe (though I hated to sacrifice any of these beauties to cooking). Check them out if you haven't already.
