🌟🐒 When practicing the splits, focus on keeping your hips square. Turning your hips out will, over time, affect your lower back and pelvis/sacrum region. The best way to keep your hips aligned is by engaging the back leg and glute muscle while engaging the front leg and quadriceps muscle and simultaneously pulling up through the pelvic floor. You can also do this in standing split poses such as the dancer pose. This will help keep you flexible while maintaining alignment in the hips.
