At #TheAlbies this year,nadia_murad received our Justice for Defenders of the Rule of Law award in recognition of her dedication to advocating for survivors of genocide and sexual violence. Nadia received her award from Cate Blanchett who said that Nadia’s story is “a rebuke to those who tried to destroy her people, it's a challenge to those who are complacent in the face of injustice, and a source of inspiration for women and men around the world.”
