This week I was able to chat with Nicole Suraci-Nguyen. She is Veteran’s Staff Attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid Golden Gate University, School of Law. Nicole served in the Marine Corps (July 2006 - August 2007) and Army Veteran (July 2011 - July 2014). During her time in the Army, she she served as Crew Chief for the Shadow UAV System. In my short question series, Around the Bases which highlights questions regarding caring for your Homies— I was able to sit down with a local Veteran, Nicole who highlighted how she likes to check in with her homies. She reminded us the importance of being authentically yourself and being present with who you are thoughout your current struggles.
