Derrick Adams “…and friends” Recent works 2022-23 For his sixth solo exhibition with Rhona Hoffman Gallery, Derrick Adams has created a limited series of mixed media works on panel in the artist’s frame. Each intimately-sized acrylic and fabric collage work is rendered in Adams’s signature color-block geometric style, generating forms existing in both the figurative and abstract realms. A vibrant color palette is paired with moments of multi-colored and patterned fabric, adding texture and energy to the cast of fun loving characters and pals he’s invented for this body of work.
