I wasn’t able to get myself together in time to race at USAs this year, and missing out yet again sure does sting. But I promised myself to have as much fun as possible supporting my teammates in Eugene this past weekend and I can genuinely say I achieved that. Will I ever get back to a place where I’m competing to make Team USA again? I hope so, and I’ve made some good changes this year to get closer. But I’ll tell you 2 things… 1. Seeing emilyinfeld win the 10k on Thursday, securing her first national title at age 35 after the years of shit she has been through… gave me REAL hope. 2. Being there with teammeridia was 100 billion times better than being there alone. And I know that would have been true no matter if I was racing or not.
