One person is dead and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is searching for the second vehicle involved after a two-vehicle crash July 31 in Shelby County. The crash happened around 8:10 p.m. July 31 on Interstate 65 near the 228-mile marker, about a mile north of Calera. Devin M. Chapman, 33, of Clanton, was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was operating got hit by a vehicle that left the scene of the crash.
