She’s calling history. 😤⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Jen Pawol will become the first woman ever to umpire a Major League Baseball regular-season game this weekend. ⚾️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The New Jersey native, who played college softball and got her start at an MLB Umpire Camp, will be on the crew for Saturday’s Braves vs. Marlins doubleheader, then take the plate on Sunday. 🧢⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ She already made waves earlier this year as the first woman in 17 years to work MLB spring training, and now, she’s breaking one of baseball’s longest-standing gender barriers. 💪⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We LOVE to see it. 🫡 #thegist⁣ ⁣ #mlb #womeninsports #jenpawol #menssports #mensbaseball #umpire
