đ Progress is almost never linear with rehab. Especially when it isnât after a surgery and there are many other factors at play during the healing process.
đ€ Not only does tissue healing timeline change depending on the tissue type, but there are differences in how each person will respond to a given treatment, exercise, loading intensity, etc. Theyâve even seen differences in how the patient perceives the information with what the clinician is explaining to them and their own expectations about the rehab process to affect healing timelines. (Hint: thatâs why we care A LOT about taking our time explaining things to you!)
â° What we care about is that over a given timeframe, say 2-3 weeks, we are seeing progress. Not just day to day.
âTrust the Processâ is a phrase youâll hear in our clinic. And when you give the process a chance, the end is usually better than prior to getting injured in the first place đ
