What started as a promise to my mom back in 2001 before I left Michigan State early for the NBA grew into something much bigger as Jaela got older and jaserich4 and jaxrich23 came along. Returning to school after 20 years was one of the hardest challenges of my life, but I stuck with it and earned my B.A. in Sports Management from the University of Florida. To Jaela, Jase, and Jaxon thank you for cheering me on through this journey. To my wife jackiempaul thank you for your unwavering love and support every step of the way.
