Meet Amaya Jones—a Class of 2025 pre-medical, first-generation graduate. Amaya majored in biology and minored in Health and Human Experience, where she found a passion for advocating for underrepresented individuals in healthcare.

Within Loyola.HOB, Amaya spent time between classes at Mercy Medical Center as a student advocate and resource team coordinator. "Health Outreach Baltimore allowed me to support families in the city where I was born and raised, bridging gaps between healthcare and the social determinants that shape it. Having the ability to serve marginalized communities, often in moments of vulnerability, reshaped my perspective on healthcare and community support."
