A couple days ago we learned that bees, like many insects, see from approximately 300 to 650 nm. That means they canβt see the color red!! But, they can see in the ultraviolet spectrum (which humans cannot).
So, the most likely colors to attract bees, according to scientists, are purple, violet and blue, because they serve as visual cues to bees. Color helps them identify flowers from which they can collect nectar for food π»
Bees can also easily distinguish between dark and light β making them very good at seeing edges π€
