iykyk In the Top Gear “Patagonia Special” (Series 22, aired during the 2014 Christmas special), Jeremy Clarkson shared an unexpectedly emotional anecdote that revealed why the Porsche 928 held such meaning for him. He recalled that in 1994, while living in London, he received an urgent call from his mother: his father was critically ill in a Sheffield hospital. Clarkson had just taken a chicken out of the oven and decided to bring it to his mom, knowing she hadn’t eaten. He dashed outside and had a Porsche 928 on test at the time. Thanks to the car’s high-speed capability, he noted it could “sit quite happily at 170 mph,” he reached Sheffield with the chicken still warm and found his father still alive; his dad passed away only about thirty minutes later.
