Zach Spiker, Head Coach of Men’s Basketball at Drexel University, has three pillars to his coaching philosophy: gratitude, respect, and competition. Named the 2023-24 Philadelphia Big 5 Coach of the Year, Spiker pushes our team to be the best they can be in every arena, from court to classroom to community. “We are a family. Everyone is valued and everyone has a role. From players and coaches to our staff and fans in the stands,” shares Spiker. Under Spiker’s leadership, Drexel men’s basketball (drexelmbb) won their first ever CAA championship in 2021 and earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament, returning the team to the big dance for the first time in 25 years. “Coaching our players and representing Drexel is a tremendous honor.
