Twirl back in time this #HistoryMonday! 🩰 These dance classes took place on the 8th floor of the Fine Arts Building in the 1980s. Dancespace Performance Center, home to Chicago Dance Medium, hosted dance classes like these for children and adults of all ages, specializing in ballet, jazz, and modern. They also featured a small troupe of dancers who performed across the city. Chicago Dance Medium’s founder, Rosemary Doolas, even took dance lessons as a child on the fifth floor of the building! Does anyone else remember practicing their pliés at the Fine Arts Building? Photos courtesy of The Chicago Tribune.
