children’s institute 2: portland bugaloo! my second round at americanbooksellers children’s institute has been completed, and boy, what a whirlwind. i think i got maybe 13 hours of sleep over a four day period, but saw so many amazing portland bookshops and met so many cool people. i (hopefully) learned some new things from all the cool education we got to take part in, and i’m excited to try and put it in place back in our store! also we totally won the costume contest? by a “bonkers amount of votes” whatever that means, but i’ll never be shutting up about that, so. i *absolutely* was weird around some cool people (hayley fucking kiyoko was there, idk what you wanted from me) but genuinely had so much fun. i can’t wait to attempt to tackle this stack of children’s and ya books i left with, but for now, i’ll be sleeping for like a week straight. ✌️ . . image descriptions in alt text . . . #abachildrensinstitute #americanbooksellersassociation #indiebookstores #indiebookseller #thete...
