i can’t believe i’m about to say this, but tripp and dex may no longer be my favorite puckboys couple. this was SO much fun and i would absolutely take a puck to the face for miles, no questions asked.
he won me over from the beginning with his little friendship bracelets (how PRECIOUS), and his perfectly weird goalie ways. i loved that he was so supportive of his queer “bros” (this word was used so many times in this book it kind of no longer feels real to me) and how very little of a freak out he had when he realized that cody was actually his man. i loved how miles’ coming out was handled and how non-angsty it was.
and cody. sweet, sweet, affection starved cody. i enjoyed him so much in previous books and i was thrilled to see him get his own story and it did not disappoint. seeing him fall for miles (and spoiler alert: NOT propose), figure out who he really was and become a full fledged member of the collective was the best journey.
