i genuinely do not know how to review this book. i am: shook. i always say i don’t do horror, but apparently i do because i fucking love this. la sala made this summer camp it’s own character with writing so visceral my mouth watered for a taste of honey. i swear to you i could hear the bees buzzing. it’s dark, at times terrifying, atmosphere sucked me all the way in. i genuinely gasped and physically recoiled several times (THE HOTEL??) and while it does have some gore it was so fitting to the story i didn’t even panic. much. loved this. holy shit. . .
