Was there ever any doubt? If you know me, you know my thoughts on Leadville bikes. I couldn’t care less about tradition or what looks “right”, just give me what’s fast. My calculations put drop bars 6 minutes ahead of flat bars by the time you hit the finish line at Leadville. Yes, I took out sections where you can use the puppy paws position and assumed slower downhill times (which isn’t always the case if you’re used to them). 6 minutes for me last year would have cost me 6 places.
