On June 6, 2020, Nigerian-born and London-based photographer Misan Harriman took to the streets of his hometown with his Leica Q2 Monochrom to document the Black Lives Matter protests. In the wake of George Floyd’s killing, he felt a deep urgency to capture the faces behind the movement. Faces marked by pain, hope, and the fight for justice.
His work gained international recognition and made history. He became the first person of colour in the then 104-year history of British Vogue to photograph a cover.
