We are excited to introduce Bernard H. Gaddis as one of the selected choreographers for the 2026 Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative (CMCI) with the Joffrey Concert Group! Bernard is the Founder and Artistic Director of Contemporary West Dance Theatre & Conservatory, Nevada’s first professional contemporary dance company, now celebrating its 16th year. A former principal dancer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Broadway’s The Lion King, Bernard has also performed and choreographed for Cirque du Soleil. He has trained and taught extensively worldwide, sharing his expertise as a certified Master Horton and Ballet instructor, and has received numerous awards recognizing his contributions to dance and the arts.⁠ ⁠ The CMCI provides a platform for choreographers to create bold new works in contemporary, modern, and contemporary ballet styles.
