A big congratulations to Flannery O’Neil — our former COO and continued collaborator — for co-authoring a major policy statement in the journal Stroke from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
The article, “Improving Access to Stroke Rehabilitation and Recovery,” calls for a more inclusive definition of recovery — one that recognizes the emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs of stroke survivors and carepartners, not just physical rehab.
We’re proud to see these priorities elevated in national policy — and grateful to flanneryhelene for her leadership in this movement.
