One of the strongest women I’ve ever met was a 20 year old young adult named, Ainslie. Ainslie, along with her camp counselors, helped save 16 young girls from the floods at camp Mystic by escaping through a window. She tried to go out through the front door, but the flood waters rushed in. I asked Ainslie if she felt like a hero, she said, “that word always felt weird to me.
