In an extraordinary encounter, rare footage captures an albino sea turtle surfacing — its pale, almost ghost-like shell gleaming under the sunlight — with a remora fish clinging to it. Albino sea turtles are exceptionally uncommon, their lack of pigmentation caused by a genetic mutation that affects melanin production. This unique colouring makes them stand out in the ocean, which is why sightings like this are so remarkable. The remora, often called a “suckerfish,” has a specialised suction disc on its head, allowing it to attach to larger marine animals like turtles, sharks, and rays. This hitchhiking behaviour benefits the remora by providing free transport and scraps of food, while the turtle may get some help with parasite removal. Together, they create a fleeting yet fascinating glimpse into the quiet partnerships and rare wonders that thrive beneath the waves. #SeaTurtle #AlbinoSeaTurtle #RareWildlife #OceanLife #MarineWildlife #WildlifePhotography #UnderwaterPhotography #Ocea...
