The forgotten “landmass” between New Orleans and Mobile. I wanted to highlight the destruction Hurricane #Katrina caused beyond New Orleans. While the disaster in New Orleans was largely the result of man-made failures, the brunt of Katrina’s surge devastated Plaquemines, St. Bernard, and St. Tammany Parishes, along with the entire Mississippi Coast. Pieces of the story often left out of documentaries of the storm.
