Second in for triceps, skullcrushers. I did just one warm up set for this exercise as the triceps weren’t gonna get much warmer, so it was more to familiarise with the movement. With this exercise I recommend instead of starting with your arms straight up, create an angle and put them slightly back. You’ll probably use less weight because of the angle but you’ll still be targeting the tricep whilst reducing the stress on the tendon. So here with probably 70kg in total, a full range of movement with a big stretch at the bottom, followed by an explosive positive portion and a squeeze, we did utilise some assisted reps to go slightly beyond failure. You need 2 exercises for triceps from different angles to emphasise the different heads of the muscle, here I’m targeting the long head predominantly.
