I don’t just want my kids to hear about equality. I want them to see it.
When my daughters watch me sweep the floor, wash the dishes, or fold the laundry, I’m showing them that these tasks are not “women’s work.” I want them to grow up expecting partnership, not carrying the weight alone.
When my son sees me cooking dinner or scrubbing the counters, I’m showing him that love looks like showing up. That being a man isn’t about avoiding the work. It’s about sharing it.
One day, they’ll have homes of their own. I hope they remember the little moments, the quiet examples, and the lessons tucked between the chores. That respect, love, and responsibility belong to everyone.
