Oregon, baby!! After almost 1,700 miles in California (and a few in Nevada as well!), I’ve finally crossed the border into Oregon! We still have almost 1,000 miles to hike, but it feels like a race to the finish as we hustle to complete the trail next month before stinetea’s visa expires and the snow comes to the Cascades. I’m trying to remind myself to soak it all in and savor these moments as I can, even while pushing north. I’ve fallen in love with this thru-hiking life again. It’s a different sort than I found on the AT, but I already know that a piece of my heart will stay here on this long dirt track far longer than my body will. Cheers to being wild and free, to border crossings, to pushing our bodies to the limits, to chasing what sets our souls on fire, and to the friends we meet along the way. Oregon, I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me. 💖💖💖
