Good Cheer looks to bounce back in Saturday’s Alabama Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course.
Once at the top of the 3-year-old filly division, the Godolphin homebred will try to rebound from a fifth-place effort in the June 6 Acorn Stakes (G1). The 3-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro faces familiar foes in the Alabama—Mark Casse’s Acorn winner La Cara and Nitrogen, who moves to dirt for the first time.
“She’s doing it the way she’s supposed to. I feel like she’s 100% now,” said Luis Saez following her Aug. 9 breeze.
