The ESR HaloLock wireless power bank recalled models numbers 2G520, 2G505B, and 2G512B. You may have bought one of these on Amazon from September 2023 through to last month when each was removed from sale. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission believes 24,000 units were sold in the US, and a further 9,900 in Canada. The chargers vary from 6,000mAh to 10,000mAh, and each was offered as a cheaper alternative to Apple's MagSafe accessories for iPhone. The chargers use MagSafe tech to attach to the back of iPhone models, but they charge at a slower rate than official options as it offers a maximum of 7.5W. ESR is offering refunds for all affected customers, and it says to dispose of the charger through a recycling system. To get the refund, you can send an email to support@esrtech.com alongside your order number and a photo of the power bank. #esr #recall #portablecharger #technews Like what you're reading?
