You’re too bright! 🌟
Check out the Messier 82 galaxy, as seen by our NASAWebb telescope. It is smaller than our Milky Way, but five times as bright. It also produces stars ten times faster than our own galaxy, classifying it as a starburst galaxy.
Messier 82 houses over 100 super star clusters, each containing hundreds of thousands of stars. These super star clusters are also more massive and luminous than typical clusters.
Image description: An intense, narrow, cool white glow cuts through the center of the image, flanked by richly textured clouds of grey and rust-colored dust. A few blue stars are faintly visible against the scene.
