i shaved my head to make rotoscoping easier it's been 8 months to the day since i published my last personal video project — something just for myself, with no client. i shot this video in two hours yesterday morning and finished editing it at 2 am last night. all it took was a day. it's nothing spectacular. i'm just relieved that i finally made something that i didn't have to. i'm not sure why it took this long; many potential factors come to mind, but i have no good excuse. i think i've been more fulfilled by my client work, and therefore feel less of a need to make my own stuff. that seems good. i think i've also been tired out more by my client work, and therefore less excited to make my own stuff. that's frustrating. it's the summer now. i've had months to make videos like this. i have so many ideas. but i haven't. why? again, i can't be sure. what's clear is that it's in my control. i think i've gotten caught being passive. that's one reason i cut my hair. to take action....
