Whirlwind past couple of days, thank you for giving me the time to process. I’m officially 4 weeks and 4 days and Space Baby is the size of a poppy seed. I am elated. I am terrified. The change of miscarriage at this point with a genetically tested embryo like mine is only around 13%. Assuming cardiac activity is detected on the 6 week scan in 10 days, the risks drops to 5%. But even though that’s a comfort, I’ve been on the sad side of those statistics before. So this time I’m taking it one week at a time, holding my breath to try to make it past 9 weeks this time, and to finally graduate from my IVF clinic.
