Step into the world of ballet with our Foundations Class in our Children’s Program at Joffrey Ballet School! Here, little dancers take their first leaps and twirls while building the skills, confidence, and joy that will carry them through every class to come.⁠ ⁠ This great class is perfect for the beginner and also continues the teaching of previous classes. Dancers are introduced to a class format that prepares them for a “real” ballet class. The music enables dancers to learn dance exercises at an increased level of formal training consisting of barre and centre work. Our teaching method focuses on posture, placement and comportment of classical ballet. Dancers are introduced to learning at this level for alignment, flexibility, and coordination.
