It’s a smörgåstårta! 🥪🍰A Swedish Sandwich Cake! This is something that has been on my list to make for years now. I used 8” round pitas and did different things in between each layer! One layer was garden vegetable cream cheese with chicken deli meat. Then I did regular whipped cream cheese with cucumbers in others. My favorite are the chicken salad layers though! My rendition of my mom’s chicken salad recipe never fails me!
2 - 12.5 oz cans of chicken - I use Swanson.
1/3 of a large red onion (diced)
4 ribs of celery (diced)
1/4 cup Claussen pickles (diced) - my mom uses pickle relish instead.
Mayo, salt, and pepper to your liking. Stir it all up and enjoy. You can also add nuts, dried cranberries, grapes, eggs, etc.
