The 911 among Watches. The 1974 debut of the Porsche 911 Turbo at the Paris Motor Show introduced a new automotive icon, with “Turbo” quickly becoming a symbol of superlatives. Simultaneously, Prof. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche created the Chronograph I, the first all-black timepiece, reflecting the Porsche 911’s design. To mark the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo, Porsche Design launched the Chronograph 1 — 50 Years 911 Turbo Edition, limited to 500 units and featuring design elements from the Porsche 930 Turbo.
