Humanitarian workers must be protected. For the sake, quite simply, of humanity. This #WorldHumanitarianDay we renew our calls louder: - Respect: States must uphold international laws to protect humanitarians. - Prevent: Immediate action from authorities to prevent further attacks. - Accountability: There must be respect for those who died through consequences for those who killed them. Impunity in any place breeds impunity in every place. - Support: Donors and organizations must invest in the safety and protection of all humanitarians– including training, protective equipment and insurance. Together, we must #ProtectHumanity.
