Drill of the week: Circle attack! Set-Up: Using your 20x15yd area, use cones to create small gates approximately halfway across the field, with a pop-up goal on both sides. Divide your players into two groups, with each group lining up on the right side of their mini goal, single file. Every player needs a soccer ball at their feet, as shown in the diagram. Explanation: On coach's whistle, the first player in each line should dribble their ball forward and go through the gate on the right side. After the player makes it through the gate, they must attempt to score a goal on the opposite side! After their attempt, they collect their ball and get in their new line. Two players should be going at once, in opposite directions. After the first two go, blow your whistle to prompt the next few to go.
