The Berkeley Student Cooperative’s Afro House is set to reopen this fall as a pilot graduate and reentry student co-op, following a yearlong closure prompted by low occupancy.
The Berkeley Student Cooperative, or BSC, has opened residence applications, with move-in scheduled to begin fall 2025, according to the BSC website. The house’s capacity is held at 13 residents, with four double and five single rooms available.
The building, which has been rethemed as the Person of Color Graduate/Re-entry Theme House, will operate for the upcoming school year at 2347 Prospect St., a short walk from campus, Memorial Stadium and the Fire Trails on Southside.
