six months ago, my home burned down. a space that felt like safety, comfort, and joy. in a matter of minutes, it was all gone. and as much as I know that things can be replaced, it didn’t make that loss any less painful.
since then, I’ve been slowly rebuilding — not just a home, but myself. learning to find peace in simplicity. finding comfort in simple routines and slow mornings. letting go of what was and choosing to move forward with gratitude for what IS.
life is fragile. and as painful as it’s been, I’ve never felt more grateful… for the people who showed up, for the chance to begin again, and for the reminder that peace comes less from what we have, and more from how we live.
it’s taken time, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come — still healing but also starting to truly love life again. also ran into a community member yesterday and she said she could literally see the light returning to my eyes over the past few months 😭🥹 ❤️🩹 what a privilege it is to be alive
