Tonight, I’m throwing the first pitch at the rockies vs Dodgers game in Denver! It’s live, televised, with thousands of eyes watching. And as someone who has never thrown a baseball until this week, I’m nervous, but I’m doing it anyway.
Moments like this remind me that courage isn’t about waiting for the fear to disappear. It’s about showing up to meet it.
Whether it’s throwing a first pitch, or stepping on stage to speak or dancing in front of millions of people or going after a gold medal , I have ALWAYS felt fear. It’s never gone away. But, I know without a doubt I’ve succeeded in my life because I show up anyway.
Growing and seeing what you are capable of is all about learning to welcome fear and embrace that it’s part of the journey!
Wish me luck tonight and if you are feeling fearful about putting yourself out there, remember that it’s not about waiting for the fear to leave it’s about learning to dance with it! ⚾️ ❤️
