I hosted a photo walk with Nikonusa, and here are 3 simple tips I shared along the way👇📸 TIP 1: If you’re shooting in a location with a lot of distractions, use a lens with a wider aperture to blur out the background and keep the focus on your subject. I went with the #NIKKORZ 135mm f/1.8 Plena lens, which worked perfectly to keep my framing tight. TIP 2: Be intentional with your lighting and the angle of it. Positioning your light a bit higher creates a more balanced look. If it’s too low, you risk casting harsh shadows across your subject’s face and background. TIP 3: Plan poses ahead of time. If you struggle with coming up with poses on the spot like me… save a few reference photos before the soot.
