LIONS CUT DOWN COMANCHES: The @jserra.girlstennis team made it two straight victories to open the season, as the Lions knocked off the Canyon Comanches 14-4 in a nonleague clash at JSerra Catholic High School. Freshman Madison Mann sparked the Lions’ effort in singles competition, as she remained undefeated on the season with wins of 6-0, 6-2, and 6-2. Senior Scarlett Vukich recorded triumphs of 6-0 and 6-0, while sophomore Brookelyn Garcia posted wins of 6-0 and 6-1. The tandem of sophomores Julianna Johnson and Ava Levitanus spearheaded doubles action for the Lions by sweeping their sets by scores of 6-1, 6-1, and 6-0. Sophomore Milana Leffler and freshman Paisley Crutchfield contributed set triumphs of 6-0 and 6-4.
