Football feels like it’s always been a part of HBCUs, but everything has to start somewhere. The first Black college football game was played at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. The game of football has evolved since this historic matchup took place over a hundred years ago, but a description of the action makes it clear that some things never change.
