___________________________________ When Texas Democrats returned to the Capitol on Monday, after fleeing earlier this month to block a GOP redistricting vote, House Speaker #DustinBurrows ordered that they could only leave the floor with written permission and under police escort until Wednesday, CNN reports.
___________________________________ Most Democrats complied, showing reporters their “permission slips” and trooper escorts.
