"The 2021 TCS New York City New York City Marathon brought out all the emotions. After a year of hiatus, NYC opened itself back again for marathon runners, and they roared. The beauty of having in-person races back again is the fact that you get to see and experience the interaction with runners and the community that embraces them. Even when you, as a runner, feel fatigued, seeing your friends screaming for you at mile 20 can absolutely reinvigorate you to finish out the race. Witnessing and capturing the shared joy on a course is the reason why I love going to marathons.
