Happy National Tap Dance Day! While tap isn’t my specialty, it’s a form of dance I deeply admire and love incorporating into my work. Growing up as a drummer, rhythm and musicality have always been my passion, and tap dancers amaze me with their ability to create music with their feet. I’m a fan first, and I want to give a huge shoutout to all the incredible tap dancers for keeping this beautiful art form alive. This piece is an homage to one of my heroes, Gene Kelly. Recreating his iconic steps was a special experience, and I’m grateful to kelseytappedin for teaching me the routine. Here’s to all the amazing dancers out there! #nationaltapdanceday
