I don't think I will ever stop worrying about what I put out into the world (even after the writing has been published), and trade reviews aren't everything because the reviews are written by a single reader, and no book can be everything for every reader, and sophomore books can be tough to release out into the world, especially in this climate. But...someone at Kirkus enjoyed MYSTERY JAMES DIGS HER OWN GRAVE, and I will take that as a win—something to celebrate in this timeline.
