☀️ Long summer days mean more time outside and more exposure to the sun’s harmful rays. Gold Award Girl Scout Jamie Blemker set out to ensure kids become more aware of the importance of sun protection. Through her project “Sun Protection Awareness for Youth,” Jamie created a website full of resources, presented lessons in classrooms, hosted community expos offering sunscreen samples, and worked with medical professionals to install sunscreen boxes at a local elementary school.
